Surfaces of workpieces are thoroughly cleaned and roughened by the abrasive effect of the blasting material.
The choice of blasting agent depends on the surface to be processed, the desired effect and the degree of contamination. In engine construction, this process is used effectively to clean the aluminum components of an engine (cylinder head, chain cover, oil pan). We use such fine blasting material that the sealing and running surfaces are not damaged.
The result speaks for itself. The aluminum parts then look like new and do not need to be painted or sealed.
