CYLINDER HEAD
new / edited

As is well known, cracks form between the valve seats or the spark plug thread within the cylinder head of the EA113 engine as the mileage increases. We therefore always use a brand-new cylinder head including camshafts and valves as the basis for building a racing engine! We also equip the valve train with special valve stem seals and harder valve springs . An extension of the inlet and outlet channels is not necessary and is at the expense of durability.


CRANKSHAFT
new / high strength / forged

The new forged crankshaft is made of high-strength 4340 steel and is balanced by us to 0.25g. This prevents damage caused by vibrations at high speeds and at the same time massively reduces rotational resistance.

CONNECTING ROD
innovative shape

The connecting rods, also forged from high-strength 4340 steel, with their innovative design offer 60% more bending strength than conventional H-beam connecting rods. In addition, the Wiseco Boostline connecting rods have a lubrication hole for the piston pin.


PISTONS
ceramic coated

The material composition of the piston allows us to use almost original piston clearance and thus protect the engine from oil consumption or unnecessary blow-by. We work with 4 valve pockets to prevent a collision between the valve and the piston, even in the event of strong thrust bangs. We provide our MAHLE pistons with a ceramic coating . The combustion heat is reflected by the ceramic surface and thrown back into the combustion chamber. The reduced heat absorption protects the piston and guarantees high dimensional stability.


MAIN & CONNECTING ROD BEARINGS

Whenever moving components in the engine are replaced, their fit with each other plays a crucial role. The bearing play determines whether the respective components jam, move freely or even deflect. In order to be able to utilize the maximum performance of the Motorspot bearing, we adjust the bearing play appropriately.


HIGH STRENGTH STUD BOLT
Block / head / connecting rod

Wherever moving components are held together, weak points arise when performance increases. That's why we use high-strength stud bolts and screws in all areas where they are indispensable. The chrome-molybdenum steel from which the bolts and screws are made has enormous tensile strengths of over 1500N/mm².


ENGINE BLOCK REINFORCEMENT
10mm titanium plate + O-rings

Titanium is an extremely robust and also light material. We therefore use a titanium plate to reinforce the engine block and the main bearing aisle. The laser-cut titanium sheet has a groove on the top and bottom for an O-ring. This ensures the seal between the engine block and the oil pump.


UPDATE OIL PUMP
The original

Of course, we use our specially developed update oil pump in every EA113 engine. The oil pressure is maintained by an integrated pressure control valve between 1.5 bar at idle and 6.0 bar at full load depending on the speed. You no longer have to worry about letting the hot engine idle for long periods of time!


TIMING BELT
Kevlar fabric / aramid teeth

When it comes to timing drives/timing belts, we also reach for the top shelf. The core of this belt is made of high-quality Kevlar fabric, the teeth are made of aramid. It is therefore particularly designed for extreme load changes (race track) and high speeds. Very important! The timing belt wheel of the crankshaft is additionally pinned. A freely adjustable toothed belt wheel is installed in the camshaft area.
