Straighten the crankshaft
Check and correct concentricity!Prices
The advantages at a glance:
- Runout can be corrected
- Crankshaft runs easier
- Reduces material tension
- saves a lot of costs if there is no need for sanding
Straightening bench: Compac
After engine damage, which is typically caused by a defect in the connecting rod bearings, the damaged crankshaft warps by up to 0.5mm. That doesn't sound like much at first, but in relation to the specified bearing play of approx. 0.03-0.05mm it's a world.
Before a crankshaft can be ground, it must undergo a crack test and then be straightened.
Our hydraulic straightening press enables very fine adjustment of the pressure and thus material-friendly processing of the corresponding components. Furthermore, the hydraulic unit is decoupled from the actual structure of the press in order to rule out inaccuracies caused by vibrations.
